Valeria Ramírez Pino

My name is Valeria, Spanish native speaker from Colombia, I’ve studied teaching and pedagogy, and I’ve worked for four years as a teacher and tutor of Spanish, Social Studies and philosophy. I’ve got experience supporting and tutoring adults and teenagers as well.

I love dynamic classes that encourage the students to be the protagonist of their learning process and reach its fullest potential. I follow a structure, but I like to diversify the tools used. For example, there’ll be an ice breaker, an introduction, an explanation, activities and closing with a formative assessment. Jamboard, nearpod, quizlet, educaplay, and YouTube are some of the online tool I like to use. There’ll be more for games, karaoke and reading too! However, my students are free to give their own suggestions when it comes to their learning process and tools used.
