My approach to teaching is to guide my clients to understand the efficiency and beauty of the English language as a communication tool wherever it is spoken.

The best use of English, both written and verbal, requires an understanding of the environment in which it is to be used, to be able to assess and adjust and understand the correct words to use, and the appropriate tone to achieve your aims.

Lecturing to Media students at Westminster University, my courses guide people through the two-way nature of communications, both in business and socially.

I encourage my students/clients to speak and write. I like to set tasks suitable to their needs creating scenarios that they can relate to or anticipating real-life situations that we can jointly approach.

However, before we delve too deep into the use of the English language as a professional skill, we need to get comfortable with both speaking and writing, slowly raising the confidence and ability of the individual involved. I use relaxed conversations and user-friendly writing exercises to quickly point out areas of improvement in a friendly way that cures skill gaps.

I always set my work to meet the level and ambitions of my client. I make it fun but I also make it effective.
