During my tenure at AU, I always strive to explain the intuition behind the theories and techniques that help them to understand the fundamental concept underlying the material taught. Chemistry is fundamentally a problem-based discipline that requires students to learn to use chemical concepts to solve problems. After teaching, allowing class time for students to work on issues related to the material just taught gives me immediate feedback and helps me to make a real-time decision about whether or not I have to move forward. My approach to teaching is to incorporate a solid theoretical foundation, with hands-on experience, thinking about the research problem, making a hypothesis and then engaging in solving that problem. I evaluated my students progressively over the Semester through assignments, projects and quizzes rather than just through tests.
For teaching Generally I prepare slides (2d and 3D representations) for understanding the concept.
I have 8 year of teaching experience in one of the private university (Akal University) in India. During my tenure at AU, I had the opportunity to teach and advise undergraduate and postgraduate students. I worked at University of Leeds, Leeds, UK from 1st APRIL 2018 to 31sT march 2020. I completed my doctoral degree in NIPER Mohali one of the premier institute of India. I worked on a multidisciplinary research program at the interface of chemistry and biology to develop novel antibacterial drugs. I had worked on "Synthetic multivalent ligands for cholera & cholera-like toxins: Protected cyclic neoglycopeptides".
