As a science tutor, I believe that it is very essential to clear concepts of students because science is all about understanding the topics and concepts.
I prefer to make learning student centred and try to make lesson like a discussion and arguments. I present the lessons in lectures form and try to demonstrate each and every concept.
This can be done with the help of PowerPoint presentations with videos or diagramatic representations. As science is a vast subject, so I try to make it as simple as I can. This can he done by using videos, diagrams, presentations, figures etc. I always try to make lesson easy and understandable by extracting the core concepts from the lesson to make it easier for students to grab the concepts. I facilitate my students in every possible way and own them. I always avoid copy pasting and discourage this. I always focus to make lesson interactive and expect student participation. I try to be gentle and humble throughout the lecture and try to be as patient as possible.
I have done M.phil in Biochemistry and was awarded vice chancellors gold medal for my distinction in masters. I served as lab and teacher assistant and taught to BS and master students at Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan.
