Hi, I'm Usashi, currently studying a Bsc in Maths, Statistics and Business at LSE. I am passionate about teaching and am eager to tutor students in Maths. Happy to help with GCSE, 11+ or general support with the school curriculum (from Year 4 to Year 12). Having had prior Maths and English tutoring experience at a local centre has enabled me to be flexible in how I teach and tailor my approach to every individual student, no matter what their current abilities or learning methods are. I have also achieved an A* in A Level Maths in 2024, as well as a Grade 9 at GCSE in 2022 so am confident with the syllabus and content as I sat the exams fairly recently. With regards to 11+, I qualified for high performing secondary schools in Sutton, Reading, Kingston and Colchester and studied at a grammar school myself.

During lessons I would assess the student's current level by testing them on parts of the specification and identify any weak areas to improve on to build a strong foundation for harder content in the future. Then I would explain how they could tackle questions, and if there are any tricks or ways of thinking that can simplify a particular concept. Once they have understood, I would give them questions of increasing difficulty. Towards the end, I would give the student a consolidation task as homework and test them on any fresh content in later sessions.

As a student myself, I know it can be a little intimidating to ask a teacher for help in front of a class! I aim to make it a bit easier for students to freely ask for help when they need it :)

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you are interested or have questions!
