I teach with personalised explanations, exam question tailored notes and other things. Having been tutoring for 3 years I've learnt to adjust my tutoring to the person that I am teaching. In most my lessons however I will start off with teaching a topic that the tutee has asked me to do the previous lesson, and move onto testing them with exam style questions. This helps them gain an understanding of what the actually knowledge is, as well as how to apply it to the exam. These are both important factors when it comes to GCSE Maths and Biology as well as A level Biology. As well as tutoring privately for 3 years, I was also a mentor at school, helping students achieve the grades they wanted at GCSE, and helping any struggling secondary schooler. This was a great learning curve for me as I learnt that all individuals learn differently and due to that, I have been able to tailor my tutoring to each individual person I tutor. I make things easier to understand by applying things to in real life situations, so that the student can have something to link their knowledge to, helping them remember it better. By keeping things interesting I manage to keep all my students paying attention for the entirety of their lesson, and also helping them remember the knowledge they learn by keeping them interested in it. I also set a variety of homework for my students, that I go over in their following lessons.
