As a child I often struggled with finding a learning approach that would fit my requirements. I was lacking knowledge in many subjects which didn't aid me well when it came to exams. As a result, my teaching methodology relies heavily on building a strong grasp of the basic/foundations of each topic/module, breaking things down into small components to make sure each and every area is fully embedded into the student's core; allowing them to have full knowledge. I also conduct frequent tests/ask the student questions on the spot to make sure that they are learning on the go. Each incorrect answer allows me to highlight key areas where I need to focus more attention- which I will feedback to the student's parents/guardians after each lesson. I will give the student prep work for before each lesson, and help build a revision timetable upon request. I incorporate video learning into my lessons as well as rewarding students with fun activities through out the session when I see progress in learning.
