I am a dental student currently studying at the university of liverpool. For the past year I have been tutoring family and friends using the tips and tricks I have picked up throughout my time doing the UCAT. I decided to start properly tutoring as the students I had tutored previously went on to get scores of 710+ through the use of these tips causing an increase in demand through word of mouth. In my lessons, we will go through practice questions where I will explain the methodology of how to approach each section and afterwards I will expect these to be put into practice and evidence to be shown in our next session. We will go through the UCAT consortium tests as I have found them to be the most useful and hard hitting questions which will prepare you for the exam. The UCAT is also a very time restricted examination meaning I will be timing how long you take to complete each question and we will work on minimising time wasting as much as possible. As well as minimising time wasting, we will work on your ability to identify when and when not to guess answers as knowing when to move on to the next question is a skill a lot of people taking the UCAT fail to fully comprehend .Ideally, I will want the student to start lessons at least 3 weeks before their UCAT exam as these tips need to be practiced constantly. I also do GCSE Chemistry and Biology tutoring. For these subjects, i will never be talking at you i will be helping you to guide yourself to the right answers as when you break down the questions in these exams it will become much easier for you to learn.
