1. Introduction - I begin the lesson by discussing the importance of the subject and possibly linking the topic to daily observations and interactions. I also explain the objectives of the lesson and how I review the main points.
2. Demonstrations/Practice - here I guide the student through the lesson and perform a series of demonstrations showcasing the intricacies of the lesson.
3. Discussion - Facilitate a discussion on the results and observations made, emphasising the key components of the lesson
4. Application and Conclusion - The student is challenged with similar concepts (e.g. real world examples) and discuss their observations. Lastly, summarise the main points of the lesson
5 Assessment - The student’s understanding is assessed firstly through informal observations during the demonstration stage. Lastly the student is provided with an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge through worksheets or follow-up assignments
My aim is to engage the students in active learning in order to foster a deeper understanding of the topic at hand
