I provide Student led lessons over teams.
It’s imperative to me understanding the issues the students have with empathy and inclusion. Academic skills are usually via a slide tutorial paying attention to both the challenges and strengths of the student with examples and opportunities to improve and develop critical thinking skills. Academic writing and referencing along the way.
Knowledge base learning ; learning psychological theories and understanding how they can be applied to daily life questions and behaviours allows students to interact with theories with more confidence bringing out their natural criticality.
Breaking down psychological methodologies to be approachable by students introducing them to the basic rules of understanding and reporting of data.
Teaching the main concepts of research and how it’s conducted from learning how to conduct a literature review, to developing a research question, choosing the appropriate methodology and understanding how to get the data to analysis, understanding the correct ways to report findings in accordance with psychological standards.
Teaching students to be confident in their knowledge and understanding to be able to bring criticality and depth to their work.
I have worked with a diverse range of students with varying abilities and needs together we have found a way to improve in all aspects of learning and brought them confidence and enthusiasm for learning along the way.
These are all subjects I have tutored at both undergraduate and postgraduate level psychology and the students have been very enthusiastic during sessions and have gone one to produce much higher quality of work.
