n my lessons, I aim to create a positive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable and confident. I begin each session by reviewing the key concepts or areas we will focus on, ensuring that the student understands the objectives for that lesson. I believe in building a solid foundation of understanding, so I break down complex topics into simpler, manageable parts, using real-life examples whenever possible to make the content more relatable.
The format of my lessons is highly interactive. I encourage students to ask questions and actively participate in discussions, which helps reinforce their learning. Depending on the student’s preferences and needs, I adapt my approach to include a mix of explanation, demonstration, and hands-on practice. I believe that practice is key to mastering a subject, so I incorporate plenty of problem-solving exercises, including past papers or mock questions if requested, to help students prepare for exams. This allows them to apply what they’ve learned in a more practical setting and build their confidence in handling exam-style questions.
I also provide customized materials and notes for each lesson, so students have clear and concise resources to refer back to outside of class. These materials are tailored to their individual learning style and the topics we cover during the session.
Having tutored for over a year, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of students, each with unique learning styles and goals. This experience has taught me how to be adaptable and responsive to different needs, whether it’s focusing on areas where the student feels less confident or offering extra challenges for those who are excelling.
