Many of my students hated chemistry and biology when I started teaching them. I know how difficult it is to try and succeed in a subject you don't enjoy. But if you are here then you have already taken the first steps to succeed! I have boosted exam scores for many of my students who initially hated and struggled with chemistry. My main method for this success was to always explain the theory behind everything we learn, to break down and explain why something is the way it is in the most basic way possible. This has helped multiple students avoid rote learning and memorization and succeed in the subject and even gain a greater appreciation for chemistry. This was how I myself succeeded in my academics, specifically the sciences, and achieved my dream of studying medicine. I am looking forward to meet all of you and help you 'unhate' chemistry and biology!!

I try to make my lessons very 'you focused'. I involve my students a lot, getting them to answer questions and also ask questions, and also ask why?, as I have found with experience that understanding the concept rather than simply memorising has improved their exam grades immensely.

I teach from my iPad so it is easy to carry out online lessons, without any digital interruption, where you have a clear view of the screen as well. Some lessons I even prepare question papers and set as homework, to look over together in class.

Especially for students close to their exams, I have helped them look over past papers and answered any doubts they may have. We have also done whole past papers together during lessons, which a lot of them have found very useful. Often with teenage students, our lessons are conversational and open at the same time, and this helps keep the lesson engaging for them as well.

I am a highly experienced tutor, with 4 years of experience, teaching kids of all school levels, including primary, GCSE and A level. I myself did the IGCSES, which are a more challenging , international version of the GCSES and achieved 7A* and 1A. I also completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) and achieved an overall score of 44/45 over 6 subjects, the equivalent of 5A* and 1A at A level. I studied chemistry, biology and psychology at a higher/more advanced level in this program. I am currently studying medicine.
