I have been tutoring for nearly 6 years now so I have a lot of face to face experience working worth students. I have worked with students in classrooms, small study areas, online or home environments to provide educational support. This included providing 30 students with weekly progress notes, setting learning objectives and tracking their improvements, who then went on to achieve very high GCSE grades. The several students I've tutored frequently note that I unquestionably aided them in excelling in the subject and even grown their interest in the subject due to my persuasive way of communicating and teaching. This is evident as I received a 94% positive feedback from students for approachability and effectiveness as I tailor my explanations to fit anyone's comprehension. Working with students has also meant that I naturally take on the roll of a mentor and someone they look up to for emotional support. My lessons are very exam focused to ensure that student feel confident when they see any type of question. I use the exam boards specification to ensure that I plan my lessons accordingly so that my students are well prepared for exams and don't feel bind-sighted. In addition to this, I have also helped students, who had failed their GCSE's the first round, study for their resits and regain their confidence back. I also have experience with helping students prepare for 11+ exams, some of which were able to secure a spot in a grammar secondary school. I tutor the young children individually so it is vital to communicate at age and emotional dependent levels of understanding to that they feel comfortable with you, making the teaching effective. Tutoring young students means that you must build strong rapport from the beginning and be even more approachable since they are more sensitive and it takes longer for them to feel comfortable. All the student that I tutor are from different schools which has meant that I have had to learn and teach different exam boards and curriculums.
