I have completed A-Level Computer Science, Mathematics, and Further Mathematics, and have a wealth of experience in the field of programming. I have worked with people of a range of ages and demographics to help them realise their full potential, or simply to kickstart their progress into learning how to code.

My favourite field is game development, but I have a flexible range of knowledge that I am happy to reach across to teach what you need. I have direct experience with Python, Godot and Visual Basic, and I am a fast learner, so I am also able to brush up on topics that you're interested in studying in order to offer you a more in-depth learning experience.

I can work you through the development of a basic "Hello World" application, right up to a fully functioning program. If you'd like to realise an idea you have for a project, we can work from that, or I can offer you one of my template projects that we can work through in a guided set of lessons.

My arrangements are flexible, and I am available to work with you for however long you like at whatever time you prefer, although I personally recommend lessons of length 1-2 hours, with optional homework between, for the best results. Homework will usually consist of a coding task or research project to complete, assigned based on what we covered in each lesson, aiming to prepare you for the next one. I will always be available to contact if you need help with an assignment, and if you find the homework to be too much pressure, you don't have to finish it.

I am happy to work with learners of any skill level, but I am most effective at beginner and intermediate levels, because I only know so much!

If you have any accessibility needs, please let me know, I would be more than happy to cater to them. I have worked with disabled, non-verbal, and socially anxious students before, and nothing is more important to me than your comfort. If you need anything, just ask! :)

I am most comfortable working online via a video call, voice call, or text chat - whichever works best for you. There's no pressure to keep your camera or microphone on, but you can if you'd like to.

I hope to see you soon!

Tricia herself is a delight and great at getting across concepts. We were always making progress and it was a comfortable learning environment.

Tricia's been tutoring me for a solid year or so, and since our start: I've grown as not only a programmer, but also as a game developer, problem solver, (and as a person!) She is incredible levels of helpful, thoughtful, and experienced. Always has an answer to any question, and if she doesn't, helps you find one! Personally we've been practising gdscript, the language used in the Godot game engine. I've gotten to the point where I can make fully fledged out games with little help because of her teaching. I highly recommend Tricia for any form of programming tutoring!
