Having dedicated a significant portion of my career to academic research and teaching within the UK, Taiwanese and Chinese university systems, I am now an eager English teacher. This career pivot is driven by a deep-rooted passion for language, a strong desire to directly impact student learning, and a belief that my diverse life experiences can enrich the classroom environment.
My MEd in Applied Linguistics and recent completion of the CELTA qualification have solidified my expertise in language acquisition and teaching methodologies. These qualifications, coupled with my years of experience in higher education, provide a solid foundation for engaging students in effective and stimulating language learning.
Throughout my academic career, I have derived immense satisfaction from guiding students towards their academic goals. I am eager to apply this passion for mentorship in a more direct and interactive setting. As an English teacher, I can foster a love of language while equipping students with essential communication skills.
Furthermore, my personal experiences, including extensive travel, have broadened my perspective and deepened my understanding of different cultures and viewpoints.
