The format of my sessions depends on the student and the specific subject. However, ordinarily, I structure each session around a specific legal doctrine. The lesson will involve me first explaining the doctrine, and the associated cases, followed by me working with the student on 'problem questions' or essay questions. If the subject is less doctrinal and more philosophical, I will take a similar approach - first setting out the nature of the dispute, and the various positions that various authors have taken.

I normally assign reading and homework between sessions to assure that the most can be made of the time in the class. I grade this homework prior to the session.

I have extensive tutoring experience - having tutored over 300 hours in the previous calendar year.

My teaching philosophy is that the progress of my students is my purpose. I aim to add as much value as possible. I will start with any new student by discussing what exactly is their situation, and what would be most helpful for them. I then develop a teaching plan to maximize our ability to reach their goals.
