I have previously been a tutor for students preparing for their 11+ exams at Boost Education as well as an english and maths tutor at Kumon. When meeting with a new student one of my priorities it to discover a students strength and weaknesses and from this create a plan on how we can tackle the more difficult subjects and reinforce their strengths. During the lesson i usually begin with a quick recap of the previous lessons topic and address any concerns the student may have. We spend the remainder of the lesson learning a new topic, practicing questions and i usually end by giving the student some homework or more questions to complete in preparation for the next lesson. My approach is student centred and i focus on adapting and using the best techniques to yield the best result from each student. The content will be centred around their examination board as well as the syllabus their school utilises. I hope to create a safe and enriching environment for my students to thrive and improve in. I am easy to contact and easy to approach and maintain regular contact with parents if necessary to help track and discuss their child's progress. I am passionate about helping students reach their full potential and am dedicated to making learning an enjoyable experience. My goal is to build confidence in my students, encouraging them to ask questions and think critically. I believe in continuous improvement and regularly update my teaching methods based on student feedback and progress.
