I have never given tuition for guitar but have imparted my knowledge and experience to many friends, families and budding musicians throughout the years. I do have a creative streak and am renowned for my improv skills ( guitar) and dynamics of sound in regards to live music, acoustics and tone. My classes would be initially be tailored around familiarisation of the instrument ( acoustic and electric) with set up and string/note relationships. Knowledge and "quick" interpretation of the fretboard would follow, and then scales, chords, and eventually strumming patterns ,to create song structure, or play well known "familiar" songs. Dependent on progress i would like to to set up a group of learners as musicians and create a multi-layered soundscape with both acoustic and electric guitars... create or play a song(s) if you like. I would create or reference the appropriate reading/learning materials and help coach to a level where the individual shows capability and appetite to progress to a higher level, or the next appropriate level. I believe the the important thing is to keep the music and creativity flowing whilst immersing the individual in the fundamentals, if its not fun, if they cant show their parents, or friends ... we will lose our audience. If there are any areas that are deemed to be lacking on my part, I'm more than happy to spend the time revising my approach. I have a great knowledge of band structure, sounds, effects, and recording to an extent , if required we can tap into this experience too. Hope this helps.
