I teach English and Art history.
I usually with the history give an overview and then can focus on the particular interest of the student. That interest may be important for an exam or just general knowledge, with a few insights into how some art is made.
With the English, if it’s just speaking practice I usually, can be online and prompt a conversation with the student. It’s a flowing conversation with only corrections if I need clarity.
Also there can be a way that I can look at the text from a book the student is reading, perhaps helping to generate a more active voice to the words.
