I have taught Business Law part-time at a London university for over 10 years, having a varied background in the credit and airline industries.
I have also served as a moderator and deputy examiner for an award body in the financial sector and am familiar with exam preparation methods and techniques.
My objective is to make Business Law interesting and understandable by explaining legal principles and concepts and relating them to everyday situations and problems in the workplace.
I'm happy to teach face-to-face in the student's home or online and often use PowerPoint presentations to teach the material.
Questions are encouraged to help students to engage with the subject and exercises are set to consolidate knowledge and understanding, with feedback provided.
The subject can be daunting to students with no prior knowledge of law and my intention is to show its relevance to day-to-day life, so that students become confident and competent in applying their knowledge, whether in the exam setting, recognising their rights or handling disputes.
Learning law can be enjoyable, stimulating and satisfying and by using humour on occasions, I believe it can even be fun!
