I am a 2nd year university student at King’s College London studying Business Management and Spanish. I have gained experience in knowledge in both Spanish and French for over a decade and finished well with A in Spanish and A* in French at A Level. Therefore I’m comfortable teaching students across any of the educational levels up until A level for French and degree level for Spanish. My lessons will first consist of an initial diagnostic, asking the student what they struggle with and getting them to do a few exercises, testing different aspects of language skills. Subsequently based on what strengths and weaknesses I can identify will inform the content in the following lessons. The general format will consist of a short conversation at the beginning to get the student used to speaking the language, then I will run through the topic/grammar rule. Afterwards, I will give the students initial exercises to do to grasp the topic and then move on to a harder level. To finish off, I like to get students to read a page in the language to me to help them improve on accurate pronunciation. Additionally having received one mark off an A* for A Level English Literature, I can also assist with pieces of writing involved in the exam as well as best approaches to adopt.
