As a practicing Artist I am willing to share my knowledge and experience to prospective foundation level and university candidates. With a wealth off experience in screening projects centred around experimental filmmaking and moving image at leading art institutions across the U.K., I am committed to engaging with passionate students who are willing to further their interests in art. My lessons, structured around my experiences as an artist and top university graduate, are designed to introduce students to key concepts within art theory and critical studies. I am also here to help students navigate their portfolios for interview preparation.

My lessons in experimental film and critical theory will be centred around introductions to contemporary non-fiction filmmaking, focusing on the techniques of filmmakers and moving image artists including Patrick Keiller, John Akomfrah and Hito Steyerl amongst others. In evaluating their work, we will walk through key concepts in artists moving image including but not limited to: the flâneur in contemporary film; the sequence-image and memory; the cinematic production of space and the repurposing of archive material. In discussing these discursive topics, the lessons will catalyse a desire to expand on these discussions and solidify an understanding of artists moving image within a contemporary context. These lessons are tailor-made for any prospective foundation or university student keen to familiarise themselves with art theory that will be discussed at all top universities.

My lessons in interview technique and portfolio preparation will focus on the content of your portfolio and how best to present yourself in interview situations. The first lessons will guide you through the essential inclusions of a postgraduate or foundation level portfolio, covering everything you ought to demonstrate within your work. In the following lessons we will focus, in tandem with your portfolio, on articulating yourself, finding a way to best speak about your interests and creative practice. The lessons will be sure to put university hopefuls in good stead for upcoming interviews.
