Hey there! I'm Tom.

I have been teaching music at a local democratic school, as well as teaching privately for three years now.

My approach is usually that during the first lesson we talk about your general level, aims and goals, as well as your preferred way of being taught. Some people need more direction than others, some people prefer to have more of a free flowing structure, and I'm happy to cater to those individual needs.

I have a lot of experience playing in different bands, genres and ensembles. Growing up I played in various rock, blues and metal groups (as well as playing loads of finger style acoustic country music in the style of merle travis and Chet Atkins), I spent three years performing with a band that played a wide array of styles like Reggae, Soul, Ska, funk and blues, I have been playing a lot of jazz in the last four years and in recent months have started to gravitate towards classical and flamenco.

I like to explore different styles, which means that I'm happy to teach most of anything you are interested in learning!

I speak fluent English and Dutch as well as basic Spanish and am comfortable teaching in all of those languages.

Seeing as I am currently based out of the south of Spain I will only be teaching online classes.
