I normally do 1 hour lessons with students. My methodology of teaching my students is a 5 minute starter task on 3-5 questions from their previous lesson. Then after we go over those questions, we will run through a powerpoint if I teach chemistry and maths which goes into detailed explanations in which I have made to assure it has every bit of knowledge for the student to achieve top grades. Then, I want the student to recap everything we had learned throughout the whole lesson, then we complete past exam questions, and for homework, I will have them complete a past paper on the subject which they are learning so they familiarise themselves with exam technique and exam style. My lessons are designed for GCSE students between Year 9, 10 and 11. I have had previous experience as tutor as I used to do tutoring for Year 11 GCSE students in my old school for 3 hours every Saturday. I achieved a grade 9 in Maths at GCSE's and I achieved a grade 9 in Chemistry at GCSE's and a Grade A at A-levels.
