I have just graduated school and therefore understand the difficulties of engaging in educational tasks. With over a year experience as a tutor as well, I am able to communicate well with students to find the best teaching methods and best ways to explain learning concepts.

The lessons / tutoring sessions will be online and will be structured to include:

- Introduction; where students can explain difficulties they are having or areas where they'd like to work, provide feedback on tasks they have completed, and warm up by retracing previously learned concepts

- Teaching; where students are shown and talked through different methods of problem solving and the mathematical concepts used to solve questions within the chosen areas

- Solving; where students use the previously taught methods and concepts to solve problems on their own. This is followed by a reflection of how the process worked, areas the student understood well and areas that are still foggy, whether the correct answer was achieved

- Debrief; a quick summary of what was gained from the lesson led by the student and followed by myself to fill in if key points are missed, this is also where extra tasks are suggested to continue with the learning and allow the student to trial questions in an isolated environment

The teaching and solving steps are repeatable within the lesson and can move quickly depending on how the student adapts to the tasks set. This method allows the student to get comfortable using the methods firstly with guidance, then will assistance available if need be and finally in an isolated environment to ensure full understanding of concept.

I will typically use a whiteboard, pen and paper and occasionally visual aids to assist with the teaching of concepts. Students are suggested to use a whiteboard or pen and paper to complete tasks themselves.
