I have a friendly, relaxed yet diligent approach in my lessons. As your teacher, I believe it's my job to get you as passionate about guitar playing as I have been for most of my life. I will introduce you to new techniques, styles and genres. I will make you a better player by showing you how to practise efficiently whilst, most importantly, enjoying every moment of playing.

I have taught guitar alongside my performance work for almost ten years now. Teaching has proved to be one of the most enjoyable aspects of my job as it gives me a chance to share the knowledge and techniques which I have been acquiring since I began playing guitar aged 12. I have taught guitar around the world including at various schools and colleges in my home county (here) and masterclasses in Columbia, Canada and the USA.

As a performer, I have been fortunate to travel to some amazing places. Recently I have toured Australia and New Zealand, North America, Columbia and also all over the UK. I have performed twice as a guest musician on board the ocean liner Queen Mary 2 and recently performed solo at Manchester's Bridgewater Hall. I love playing the guitar more than anything and any time I get the opportunity to perform I am grateful.

I want you to become the player that you want to be. Whether you are just learning for fun, want to learn your favourite songs or if you want to prepare for graded exams and performances... I will work with you in becoming the great guitarist that you can be!
