The lessons focus on a particular place, person or trend as it relates to the time-period or country in questions. I believe that while culture and technologies change over time, the very human ambitions, fears, rivalries and desires that fuel wars, revolutions, exploration, colonialism etc are universal. I aim to bring a human dimension to my teaching, not simply a recalling of dry facts and dates.
