I am a result-oriented teacher with over four years experience in teaching students both at the primary and secondary levels. I pass the teaching and learning instructions to my students through the use of communicative Language approach, which serves as a bedrock for me to use other methods such as Presentation Practice Production, Engage Study Activate, Task-Based among others with cognisance to the individual needs and interests of my learners in any area of the four Language skills.
Furthermore, my focus on student-centred teaching makes it easy for me to bring out the best in my learners as this gives them the opportunity to express their creativity when it comes to different topics in any language skill.
More So, I understand that it is essential for my learners to learn topics tailored to their interests as this promotes motivation which brings about positive outcomes in the learning of the language. This is the reason why I employ interesting teacher and student activities in my lessons, with the use of entertaining and educative authentic materials, that are meant to add to the existing knowledge of my students and make them effective users of the language in daily life.
Finally, I give individual feedback and progress reports often during each lesson because they are parts of the integral factors that make teaching and learning process successful. These also allow my learners the opportunity of knowing their abilities and making possible improvements in the learning of the language and use it effectively.
