I like to teach in a dynamic style, with a strong focus on speaking, but also working on all the other skills, such as reading, writing, and improving your vocabulary and grammar. I aim to focus on each individual’s specific requirements, working on their particular areas of weakness in a style that will suit their preferred method of learning.
I use a lot of online materials such as newspaper or magazine articles and presentations (such as TED talks), as well as textbooks relevant for each person’s specific needs.
I have previously taught in different schools in Spain, Poland, Indonesia and here in the U.K. I have also taught in-company for financial organisations such as Deutsche Bank and Monex Europe, as well as legal firms such as Slaughter and May and Euler Hermes, and other multinational companies such as Maire Tecnimont.
I have a great deal of experience in exam preparation, particularly Cambridge exams such as IELTS, CAE (C1 test), FCE (B2 test) and BEC, as well as other tests such as TOEFL and GMAT. My students have a high success rate in these.
For me, one of the most important things is to enable people to communicate with those around them and to be able to attain their goals, without being held back by language. I also help people to understand the British culture, as this is important to enable more effective communication.
I generally offer online lessons (through Zoom or another platform) which allows me to be very flexible regarding my availability and allows you to study from the comfort of your own home or workplace. I look forward to working with you :)
