Self-employed private English tutor with 9+ years experience and over 80 students aged 4-16. I have built excellent relationships with the majority of my students and their parents, often tutoring siblings, neighbours, cousins and school friends. I've tutored students from comprehensive, grammar, private and international schools.

KS2 (£25) : Spelling, punctuation, grammar, comprehension of a wide variety of texts, improving vocabulary, writing and composition (fiction and non-fiction). I can assist with English and Verbal Reasoning for 11+ examinations but this will require further discussion upon contacting me.

GCSE (£30) : Any set text, including Shakespeare, drama, 19th century and modern text. Any poetry anthology. Lessons include in-depth discussion and analysis of set and unseen texts for Language and Literature GCSEs, along with improving written answers. Students will study past exam papers as well as look at model answers and mark schemes. I also use unseen texts and extracts from books that I am familiar with.

I'm not currently looking for KS3 students. Experience has taught me that it's very difficult to keep KS3 students motivated and this makes it arduous for both me and the pupil!

Lessons are online via Skype. Face to face may be considered for students living in the Newport (Wales) area. Most students have been from London but any location will be considered, even abroad!
