I have 23 years experience of working with teenagers through to adults, including those that need extra support or have specific educational learning needs. I am happy to provide my CV, references and my current DBS.

I have a masters degree in Literacy (Sheffield University).

I will try my best (always) to make the lessons as interesting and fun as I can, and where possible, based on your interests.

Each lesson will be designed specifically to your individual needs, and the areas you want (or need) to work on first. We all have our stronger and weaker areas in English no matter what level we are studying at, so it will be my job to build on your existing skills whilst giving you the tools to master new skills.

If GCSE English Language revision is needed, then of course I would need to work towards the current GCSE syllabus, but if needed we could break this down into more manageable steps.

Where needed we shall look at ways (strategies) to help with spelling and how to use memory aids to help with this, as well as punctuation and grammar.

We can work on improving your reading and writing skills at the level you require.
