I have taught KS3 and KS4 history (British National Curriculum) for over ten years at a multi-academy trust school. Currently I'm curriculum leader for history at an academy for over 1200 students. I have planned schemes of lessons at both KS3 and KS4 for my department, in order to help deliver it to our students. I have helped students gain their GCSE target grades, from 4 to 9, using my knowledge of the topic and exam syllabus, specifically Edexcel and OCR history. Currently at GCSE I teach Medicine 1250-Present (Paper 1), Henry VIII and Cold War (Paper 2) and Germany (Paper 3). I also complete yearly exam marking for both Edexcel GCSE and OCR A-Level, on order to improve my understanding of the topic and exam technique. Finally, I have led several history trips in the UK and Europe, which include London, Ypres and Berlin. I am also an early careers memory for newly qualified teachers. This highlights my expertise in mentoring, coaching and helping people achieve their specific goals. Furthermore, I believe that I am a patient and dedicated professional who will take the time needed to listen to specific needs and then apply a programme in place, to help make the progress needed, to achieve specific goals
