I love teaching and engaging with students of diverse ages, backgrounds and cultures. I am Dutch / French and lived most of my life in Italy. I now live in the UK. My Italian and EFL lessons are tailored to the individual student , I am trained and comfortable to teach on Zoom but very happy to commute a reasonable distance for face to face lessons. I will have to add travel expenses to the hourly price.
I usually teach individual but am open to teaching groups up to
5 people . I try to make my EFL lessons as varied and fun as possible, with a mix of audio texts ( listening) reading and speaking and some grammar exercise too. A lot of the material I use comes from Cambridge EFL workbooks. But as I mentioned before, every students needs are different and I am happy and competent to adapt lessons accordingly; some students want just conversation, which is also a good way to learn as difficulties or barriers come up naturally and then we deal
With a few of those which will be recorded on a word document which I’ll send to you after the lesson. For my Italian
lessons I have a similar approach and in addition I organise an “ Italian basic cooking in Italian afternoon” with a group of my adult students who love meeting up to try to converse in Italian on these afternoons. We then eat what we made all together, still trying to speak Italian! But the odd English word is allowed..
I hope to see you in one of my classes!
