After completing my GCSEs, I’ve have leant, from personal experience and from those around me, which study methods work and which do not- I hope through my tutoring I can make sure students are ready for either the next big exams or just to choose the next level of reading book from the library.

I have had a passion for english since year 7, I realised it was a strength and I made it my goal to succeed to the highest standard. Writing this in June (before results day), I am hopeful of receiving a Grade 9 in English Literature and a Grade 8 in Language. My GCSE has allowed me to understand how to analyse different text styles and genres - from an Edwardian novela to a Shakespearean tragedy. If your child is struggling to just step over the line into that stronger band of depth and analysis let me lend a hand. I will provide your child with activities designed to push their boundaries in order for them to excel and gain back lost confidence.

If your child is perhaps not quite at the hurdle of GCSEs and their next steps and are discovering the wonders of identifying adjectives and nouns or even the very basics of piecing together a sentence, I am also prepared to help the little ones. When completing my bronze DofE, I volunteered at my local infant school where I help a Year R class with their reading. This experience allowed me to see a range of different abilities and strengths. It also taught me the patience required when approaching our precious young ones. Furthermore, I have a 5-year-old brother who I have had the honour of watching adapt to school learning, the pride on his face when he wrote his own name for the first time is something I will never forget. I hope that by choosing be to be your tutor, you too will see the same pride in your child.

At GCSE level, in maths I am striving for a Grade 8 so will also be able to help your child with maths from the ages of 4 -13. Some people may see maths as a gift from hell but I hope to change this attitude and make it a piece of cake. With fun and engaging activities, your child will see a new side to the equations and formulas and gain the confidence to complete them with ease.

Whatever age, whatever ability, I will push your child to the next level and hopefully make english and maths just that little bit easier.
