I structure the lessons according to the curriculum. I make sure all topics are well covered and everything is well understood. Understanding the core topics are essential to progress into more complex topics, therefore the fundamentals must be strong. Homework should be expected, but not an overwhelming amount. The questions given to students will be of quality instead of quantity. Practice makes perfect, however doing the simple or wrong things over and over is worse. When it comes to mathematics, it is good to make sure the more difficult questions are tackled as we have to be able to expect the worst before the assessments. Past papers will therefore play a huge part in my teaching methods, as they offer a very important information about the workings of particular problems. They could also be used as mocks, which will indicate the student’s current level.
