I use interactive methods to keep younger children engaged in the work being done. As the children get older, the more independent the sessions will become as the child progresses through the academic course. With any new topic, or misunderstanding, I will guide the child through the question, showing an example of myself doing it, and then get the child to start trying themselves and assisting with difficulties. I take my approach to tailor to the child's needs and what is right for one child, isn't right for every child.
