I am a native English speaker who has a high command of the English language. We will use engaging and stimulating techniques to help you grasp English such has role play, quizzes and interactive exercises. We will go over basics such as grammar and spelling and also do speaking and listening activities to ensure all learning is consolidated. We will use videos to aid in improving translation speed and practice pronunciation. There will be take away work at the end of each session with exercises and activities to help you implement using English in everyday situations such as ordering a drink, buying a train ticket and going shopping. There will be a variety of different media used to aid in learning which can be adapted and adjusted to suit the students needs whether that be a more computer based style of learning, pen and paper based work style and learning difficulties. There will also be extra time to focus on problem areas the student may have included in every lesson. I will recommend resources and books to read at the end of every session to gain an understanding of how sentences are constructed and to highlight nuances in English e.g context in contemporary literature and non fiction texts such as newspapers and magazines. There will be a heavy inclusion of music, we will listen to songs of interest and attempt to translate the lyrics. The lesson can be very much learner lead if this is what is necessary to help in the learning and can also assist in helping to write things such as CVS and university applications if the goal is to move to study in an English speaking country. I am also open to teaching those who wish to learn as a hobby or for a vacation visit to an English speaking holiday and the lessons can also be tailored to ensure one can function while on their holiday, such as booking accommodation, ordering food, hiring or using transport, attending hospital etc.
