My lessons completely depend on the student and their needs, I would first organise a meeting to get to know the student and try to gather in what ways I could assist them best as well as briefly viewing previous work they have done. Then I would formulate a rough plan for the first 5 lessons and check this with the student, allowing them to edit and input anything they reasonably desire. Further, I would periodically give them a little 'homework'; something that is quick but indicative of what areas need paying more attention to and what areas have improved.
