Teaching is a learning journey!
My teaching experience began when working one-to-one in a secondary school with students who had learning needs. I could see they often needed small adaptations to content to see things in new ways.

My teaching experience began when working one-to-one in a secondary school with students who had learning needs. I could see they often needed small adaptations to content to see things in new ways.
As an English teacher, I realised students did best when having fun and engaging interesting topics. So I design lessons according to level with questions and debates around fascinating content.
As a facilitator, I have engaged methods around movement, reflection, and imagination to trigger "ah ha" moments and find new connections.
And in academia, my presentations and writing involve stories and images, bringing data and analysis to life. This helps students make their own meaning from what is taught, connecting it to their lives and questions.
Through all this, I keep learning new ways to teach and support students - I am forever a student myself. I hope we can learn together.
