Thomas Polkinghorne

Bonjour à tous !

My name is Thomas Polkinghorne and I am a Master's graduate tutoring in both French and German! I have studied French for over 10 years now and German for around 5. I started French back in secondary school and have continued to this day whereas my German training began when I started University. Over the course of my studies, including a semester in both France and Germany, I have developed my language skills to highly proficient levels, and am looking to share this knowledge with anyone who needs it!

In our lessons, I will adapt to your needs. If there's a particular grammar point or vocabulary area you need assistance with, we will cover it using real world examples such as songs or videos to help contextualise your knowledge. If you find yourself struggling on one area repeatedly, I will adapt my teaching methods to find one that works for you. I aim to foster an informal atmosphere where students can feel free to ask questions and make the mistakes that are imperative to learning. One thing I've learned over the years is that every student learns differently, so adapting to your needs is, and will always be, my highest priority.
