I can provide a person-centred tailored approach in which we would work together to discover what best benefits you specifically. In general, I tend to do power-point presentations with tasks and examples, in order to explain ideas or themes. Then we would move on to practicing and consolidating your knowledge and prove to you how much you know on the subject. From there, we would likely discuss what you would like to do and where you feel you need the most help.
I am also happy to help with exam revision. I would likely help you create a cohesive colour coding technique to highlight themes and ideas, turning these themes into mind-maps and lists which are helpful in the preparation and memorisation of the knowledge needed for exams.
Furthermore, I can deliver subject specific lessons in plays, books, poems etc or literacy and reading skills depending on age and knowledge level. This will likely be done traditional didactic learning alongside active encouragement and creative homework's and learning challenges.

I have a keen interest in plays and poetry in terms of English Literature, and I am very proficient in the teaching of English Language A-level or Linguistics: specifically gendered language types and the importance of linguistics.
However, I am happy to teach basic English skills in terms of literacy and reading, as I have experience working in a Nursery with all types of children, including those with SEND.
This means I am very humanist and holistic in my teaching approach and will work with you to create the best learning environment for you!
