First lesson will be assessing the level of your English in order to lay out a plan to suit your needs.

Depending on your ability, we will begin with purely conversational English, and talking about simple and normal topics, then moving onto more formal job interview conversations and writing formally, all of these we will be assessed informally in short to see your level. Periodically we shall discuss and present poetry, music and novels, and also the history of the language and how it has changed. This is for two reasons - one, that it isn't all dry formal discussions, and two, I strongly believe it is harder to get a grasp of a language if you don't know its development and how it is used artistically by a native speaker. Finally, we will work on the reading and assessing and critiquing of professional work.
