The first lesson will consist of getting to know the student and developing an understanding of their competence in the given subject. The ultimate goal of the sessions will be to equip the student with the analytical tools to correctly approach exam questions and get the best results they can achieve. To this end, I will work with the student to confront the areas they struggle with most in the subject and remedy any gaps in their understanding.

I would also be happy to help with homework tasks and focus our tasks in tandem with the curriculum. I WILL NOT set work to be completed outside of the sessions because I understand the workload and stress that students are already under, although it would be useful to see work completed by the student in and out of class.

Whilst it is, unfortunately, true that examiners can be won over by elegant writing and stylistic flair, the most consistent approach to securing the best results that students can achieve is the following:
