I have been teaching English since 1998 when I finished University.

Over the past 15 years, I have been teaching students online, especially since Covid disrupted our lives.

I now teach exclusively from home and due to most of my students wanting to learn IELTS for study purposes I am continually looking for new students to replace them when they ace their tests!

I am a professionally published writer as well as an IELTS writing assessor, so my forte for teaching is to assist learners in making huge improvements in their writing, from sentence structure to grammar and punctuation.

I use contemporary methods and approaches to learning in order to address individual student needs and preferences.

Feedback I get from students is that they enjoy my lessons and look forward to the content because in addition to learning English they feel like they are learning about the world at the same time.

I choose relevant speaking topics and authentic resources for discussion, often drawing on current events and news to stimulate language acquisition and activation.

IELTS is my strong point, however, I have a wealth of experience teaching language, literacy and numeracy for education and employment.
