My basic lessons typically start with me doing an introduction on who I am and allowing the student to also introduce themselves, this sometimes includes an ice breaker just so the student is comfortable. Thereafter I allow the student to express what it is they are trying to learn in order for me to ensure that I teach with understanding. Thereafter, I present the lesson and engage with the student to ensure they are understanding and tracking with me. At the end, I ask the student whether they understood what I was teaching and ask them to confirm if they’d like for me to explain anything else.
