I then ask whether there is anything you would like to work on specifically. If so, then I adapt my lessons instantly so that it suits you best, and if not then I can suggest some language games to start off. These can be a mixture of grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.
What is most important for me is that the lesson is fun. I like to discuss topics that you are interested in learning about and am more than happy to work in a range of different settings, for example inside, in a park, by the beach etc. Whatever suits you best!
Generally, I would suggest that we initially try to have the lesson in the target language, as this is an excellent way to be immersed in the whole setting. If this is too difficult, however, we can adapt and have the lesson in a mixture of languages too.
Finally, the last five minutes of the lesson are dedicated to recapping what you have learnt and setting some targets for the next time we meet, so that there can be continuity in the learning.
I have one year experience teaching outdoor education to children and adults, and one year tutoring experience teaching languages as a foreign language. I also hold a 150hr TEFL certificate.
I look forward to
