Hi, I'm Theo, a first-year student at Sciences Po (Institut d'Études Politiques de Paris), where I'm pursuing a degree in Politics and Government. My academic journey began in the UK, where I completed my IGCSEs and A-Levels, earning an A* in Politics, an A in History, an A in Geography, and an A in my EPQ. While I ultimately performed well, I faced my own challenges in Year 12, often averaging As and Bs across my subjects. These experiences have given me a personal understanding of the academic hurdles students can face, whether it’s struggling with essay structure, managing time, or grasping complex topics.

As an A-Level Politics student with the Pearson Edexcel Exam Board, I gained a comprehensive understanding of key political systems and ideologies. My studies covered the British political system, including its democratic processes, strengths, and flaws. I also explored major political ideologies such as feminism and conservatism. Additionally, I studied American politics, focusing on the structure of government, as well as key political issues.

Over time, I’ve developed methods to overcome these difficulties, which I now use to help others through tailored tutoring. I believe that each student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to suit individual needs, whether that involves breaking down difficult topics, practicing essay writing, or exploring case-specific evidence in Politics. My approach often includes reviewing example essays, discussing potential questions, and working through the subject matter in a way that best helps students understand and apply it in exams.
