I am a certified English teacher with more than 5 years of experience teaching both on site and online. I can teach English and Maths all levels.
My teaching philosophy is simple. I use hands on technique and am approachable to my students. I incorporate fun into my lessons when possible. And while my easy going style is suitable for many subjects and grades. I am able to adapt my style to the needs of the student, recognizing that different students learn in different ways.
I would describe myself as a positive, energetic, knowledgeable and industrious teacher, I have a flexible style of teaching that can cater to all students and abilities. I would say that I am a high achieving teacher. For example in my last role as an English teacher, I managed to turn around an underperforming class. That was a great achievement and I was rewarded for that.
During my lessons, I use realia and build a series of activities around it. I create games to engage learners in class. I create a fun classroom through the use of poetry, rhymes and rhythms when teaching vocabulary, grammatical elements, idoms and expressions. My approaches are student centered, after the demonstration from the teacher, students are engaged on different activities and feeling comfortable learning, communicating with others as well as the teacher.
