As an experienced tutor and grade 9 GCSE student I have a thorough understanding of how to reach a higher grade for GCSE Maths and also teach year 7-9 in basic mathematics.

Through weekly lessons consisting of explaining and going through questions, maths will become a fun lesson rather than a boring one. It’s simple! You tell me what you learnt in the week and we’ll reinforce that knowledge while also going over the tricky parts. Then I’ll end the lesson with questions from past papers in timed condition, and together we’ll go through the solution. This way I can pinpoint areas of improvement and focus on them in the long term.

I am reliable and organised with time so depending on the topic, the lesson will be preplanned. Having done my GCSEs recently, I have an excellent understanding of how to revise efficiently to maximise marks. It’s not only the textbooks and revision videos but the secret lies in the mark schemes and solutions. My role would be to explain the solutions so you can best understand and remember the concepts.

I even teach year 7-9 maths, which is extremely important as it lays a foundation for the harder topics that come later. For me personally, the help I received in year 7 changed my outlook on maths and now it’s my favourite subject.

Being a trustworthy and confident tutor who has a genuine love and passion for maths, I hope to change the idea that maths is boring to a more positive and fun subject.
