Hi, Terry Stokes here. I'm a tutor specializing in English, Spanish, and music theory & performance. I majored in an interdisciplinary humanities program at Yale University, then went on to study theology at Princeton Theological Seminary.

I take an individualized approach to tutoring. I ask a student what they are motivated to learn, what their skills and talents are, and in what context they'd like to use the knowledge we learn together. Then I design a plan of study around that. I like to incorporate grammar, vocabulary, reading, etc. into fun activities touching on art, literature, music, and pop culture.

I have a background in informal education. I give music lessons, I've tutored at afterschool programs, and I've designed and executed summer enrichment programs for high schoolers.
